Why should I have someone write

my resume?

I’ve probably looked at over 4,000 resumes in my career. Many had spelling errors, or they weren’t in chronological order, or they didn’t sell the person’s skill set. On top of that, recruiters look at a resume for 9 seconds on average. With using a resume service, you have someone who has experience with hiring, and knows exactly what to look for! You get to tell the writer what you’re looking for in a position, and they can handcraft your resume to fit your needs!

What does career advisement look like?

This is one of my favorite things to do! By sitting down and really looking at your career, your skill set, and what you would ideally like to be doing, we can craft a path for you to follow. This will also come with some job postings I find, or companies I’m involved with!

How long will this take?

This depends - I will either have a phone meeting or in person meeting with you to really figure out your needs and wants. We will also go over your current resume, what changes I will make, and why. This meeting is usually about an hour long. I will need you to provide me with a few things (titles/descriptions/dates of employment, organizations you’re involved in, and special skills). Once I have that, I give myself a two week turnaround time; however, I will send you a first draft pretty quickly to make sure you like where it’s going!
